Four teens, three adults, one car!

We just got back from our road trip to Coopersville today! I will be the first to admit that I was a bit hesitant and nervous because we weren’t just taking one teen girl…not two…not three…but FOUR teen girls along for the ride! FOUR! I thought for sure they’d get loud, I’d get irritated, and it would be the ride from hell. But, you know what? It was awesome and I’d do it again in a heartbeat. The four of them kept us entertained the entire trip and had us laughing over and over!

The best part was that it was the one girl’s thirteenth birthday (the last one to turn thirteen out of the posse), so her birthday was memorable, that’s for sure! The four of them sang along to their favorite songs in the car, inside jokes were made, and these gals were dancing like rodeo clowns in the middle of a country town convenience store, making all of the customers laugh. They were hysterical! They strolled the town of Coopersville, giggled constantly, and just had an amazing day together.

The icing on top was getting to see my dear friend, Craig and hang out with him for a few hours. We hadn’t planned on going this year, but Craig texted and said we had to go…so who am I to say no to him? We got to see our friends James and Katie along with our friends who are the curators of the museum, Jim and Lill. Those people are the reason we go. Not the cars. Not the festival. Not the crowd. It’s the people I’m close to and love dearly – they’re the sole reason. Until next time, dear friends! Love you!
